Thought I’d let you know that I haven’t disappeared, I’m just taking a much needed rest. I’ll resume posting next week!

This weekend the boys got to attend a ninja themed birthday party! The hostess of the party, my friend Jessica, was quite busy making all things ninja, including these awesome ninja heads! When I followed the link to see where she had found her inspiration, I discovered Bakerella’s site! WOW! How could I have not heard of cake pops before now! I’m about as proficient at baking as I am at keeping plants alive, so I’m very impressed at what some people can do with cake batter. I think my boys would love to have the Star Wars cake pops at their next event.
While the boys were at party central, we blasted to Starbucks, and then down to Ikea to buy some items for the slowly moving master suite… more on that soon. I’m liking how it’s coming along!

We’re winding down from a beautiful weekend filled with trains. Our sweet little boy turned four this weekend, (I still can’t believe it!!) and he requested a Thomas themed party. What a great third year this has been for him – a year without gluten! Who would have guessed that it could have made such a huge difference to our whole family. Now, if we could just slow this train down for a little while and enjoy every second of this sweetness?
Some friends and I recently joked about all of the uses for tiny birds, as we were at a birthday party and the hostess (and birthday girl) had just opened a gift of almost exactly these same birds. Here’s a pretty picture that tops all of our ideas guys… leave it to Martha!
